HUNTING

Henning’s Guide Service offers exclusive guided goose and duck hunting on over 17,500 acres of private rice farms and marsh property in the Thornwell, White Lake, Welsh, Bell City and Choupique areas of Louisiana. All five locations are well known for quality goose and duck hunting, along with exceptional waterfowl habitat. With the completion of construction of the Thornwell Oaks Hunting Lodge, and purchase of existing lodges in White Lake and Choupique, hunters have the opportunity to book either a fabulous Louisiana day hunt or overnight hunt at a lodge with Henning’s Guide Service.

Depending on the conditions, your experienced and enthusiastic guide will take you to where you will have the best chance to bag your geese and duck limit. Although no reputable guide service will guarantee you a limit on your hunt, we guarantee our guides will work hard and use their expertise to give you the best hunting experience possible. You will be hunting out of well brushed and clean pit blinds in our rice fields, and brushed platform blinds in the marsh property.

DAY HUNTS

Day hunts are available for those that wish to drive in the morning of the hunt. Hunters meet their guides at a designated time and meeting place the morning of the hunt. Every guided hunt includes calling, decoys, transportation to and from the blind, and trained retrievers. Our day hunts are limited to four (4) persons per guide with a minimum of two (2) hunters (except teal hunts have a minimum of three (3) hunters). All hunters will have the opportunity to hunt specklebelly geese or ducks depending on the conditions.
